Welcome to District Speech and Swallow Rehab. We are a mobile Speech Pathology service operating in the Washington DC area. We specialize in the adult population and work with swallowing, motor speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, fluency, and voice disorders. We strive to provide the most current evidenced-based practices, and help each client reach their own personal goals. No frills. No gimmicks.

Miki Shibata MS, CCC-SLP
Miki moved to Washington DC in 2015 after graduating with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Teachers College, Columbia.
As a graduate clinician Miki completed externships at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital in Acute Care. She completed her Clinical Fellowship at a Subacute Rehabilitation that specializes in tracheostomized and mechanically ventilated patients. After she earned her certificate of clinical competence, she worked in a variety of treatment settings (outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, acute hospital), and can bring that expertise to each client that she takes on.
